I started working with Bonnie Allen when our board chose her to become the Interim Executive Director of Central Arkansas Legal Services (CALS). Soon after joining the organization, the structure of the Arkansas legal aid system was reconfigured, resulting in CALS’ dissolution by the end of 2025. As we navigated this challenging and unexpected process, Bonnie’s ability to face difficult problems and find positive solutions surfaced as one of her greatest strengths.
